THE STORYTELLERS THEATRE COMPANY
The Storytellers Theatre Company is branch of Pendle Productions specialising in two-handed theatrical adaptations of classics and original stories.
Opportunities - Ongoing. The work is extremely rewarding as well as hard, and allows a performer to explore their own skills and play roles that they may not usually play. Most pieces involve both performers playing multiple characters. Productions are fast-paced and range from dramas, through plays with music to full musical shows. Usually, performers are required to learn multiple shows. All performers must be very physical and have good singing and movement skills. They must be able to engage with an audience and have great rapport and appeal. Both performers on a production will be required to set up and take down the show and operate their own sound. Full instruction is provided. Performances take place in all types of venues – schools, theatres, arts centres, libraries etc as well as outdoors during the Summer months. Pendle Productions work alongside theatres and arts organisations which creates opportunities for further diverse work outside the Storytellers.
