Casting details:
Imagine Theatre are casting various supporting roles across our venues for this year’s pantomime season
The actors applying for these pantomimes must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving roles where applicable. The actors should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.
Auditions for these roles will involve movement, singing and a script call. Auditions will take place during w/c 10th July 2023 in London. Please note auditions are by invite only and unfortunately we are unable to acknowledge every application we receive.

We play our principal female identifying roles as strong, elegant, feisty, and carefree young women. This part is very much the story telling role, therefore needs a good connection with an audience of all ages. The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself. Sometimes or Fairy will pick up a comedy element in the play

We play our principal male identifying roles, spirited, fun, charming and adventurous young men. He is often the underdog in the story that has a quest in front of him to save the day. This part is very much the story telling role, therefore needs a good connection with an audience of all ages.
PETER ONLY - The original lost boy who has found a haven in Never Land, among the last of the fairies, the pirates and the land Warriors. He has resolved never to grow up, but just to fly from adventure to adventure. He is the leader of the Lost Boys with stubborn side. The actor should be Whimsical, with a mischievous youth with an ageless quality. Strong, good looking features. Preferred maximum height 5’8”. Vocally strong, energetic voice. As a performer the actor should be Athletic, strong, a dancer, stage fighting skills would be advantageous but not necessary and not afraid of flying. The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.

We are looking for two actors with exceptional vocal ability and a strong belt. These actors also need to have a strong sense of the pantomime style and be able to work as part of a double act (we are however accepting actors’ submissions individually). The step-sisters are whiney, vulgar and bully Cinderella at any opportunity they get. They are very dominant characters, but each have their own individual quirks and uniqueness. They feel they are very much of the here and now and life revolves around a selfie and a good pout These roles are female identifying.

We play the role of the Beast as a tall and imposing actor, who has a strong presence. The Beast has a journey to make and is hostile and angry for a great deal of the show but gradually becomes softer and more vulnerable as the story unfolds. The actor has to be able to map this journey and take the audience with him. With this in mind we are looking for an intelligent and experienced performer The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play the story driving role. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and the way in which an audience of all ages will invest in his story.

STAFFORD, Gatehouse Theatre. Dates - 27 November 2023 - 31 December 2023
This is our villain in Beauty and the Beast, however he is often admired by those in the village that do not realise he is truly only out for himself and will do anything he can to get his Beauty. We like to play this character as slightly overbearing and someone who very much loves himself over anybody else. He is also convinced that he can make anybody fall in love with him at a glance. The actor playing this role must be a strong triple threat with the ability to play comedy. The actor should also have a good understanding of the panto genre and that comedy routines will be very much part of the story itself.
