OPEN CASTING CALL FOR BIRMINGHAM AND WEST MIDLANDS ACTORS
Birmingham Rep:
Last year we announced the main focus of our 2026 season wasn’t just creating and staging epic brand new takes on classics, adaptations of best-sellers, commissions and co-productions but it’s also having these productions being…
‘Made In Birmingham‘!
Which is why we’re so excited to announce another Open Casting call for Birmingham and West Midlands actors to audition for our forthcoming Christmas production, Peter Pan!
Peter Pan will fly onto ‘The House‘ stage from Wed 18 Nov 2026 – Sun 17 Jan 2027, and is set to wrap up Joe Murphy’s inaugural season, as well as mark the first Christmas show directed by The Rep’s own Artistic Director in over a decade. Ahead of this, we will hold open auditions on Thu 19 Mar for local actors to be part of this magical new production.
This opportunity is open to any and all passionate and versatile actor-musician with strong singing voices based in Birmingham or the West Midlands who are excited by bold, contemporary storytelling. The Rep welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and professional representation is not required to apply.
However, we are particularly interested in strong singers who are able to play a musical instrument, we are looking for a core group of actor musicians who are highly proficient in playing the following instruments:
Drums
Bass
Rhythm guitar
Lead guitar
Trumpet
Trombone
Saxophone plus clarinet
Tenor sax
French horn
Cornet
This Peter Pan Open Call Casting follows our previously hugely successful call for our forthcoming ‘Proudly Birmingham, Distinctively Rep’ new production of Shakespeare’s ever popular A Midsummer Night’s Dream– which resulted in three local actors from the call being cast.
