OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for VOCALISTS

Shanghai Disney Resort is seeking music theatre performers/vocalists to portray lead characters from the Disney films Moana, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and Tangled.

Performers should be strong storytellers and demonstrate a strong and dynamic singing voice with vocal and emotional range. 

Performers should have acting experience, be strong movers, and demonstrate expressive presence and flair. These vocalist performers will be featured in stage shows and possible special events.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be a part of the Shanghai Disney Resort Cast and share the magic of Disney with millions of guests!

Vocal range: A (below middle C) to C# (minor 9th above middle C)

Tiana

Vocal range: G (below middle C) to F (12th above middle C)

Rapunzel / Elsa

Audition Notes

Please be prepared for the following:

·      16 bars of a vocal selection of your choice with sheet music accompaniment.

·      Select songs with which you have an organic connection, telling a story that you bring to life in an honest way.

·      Please bring two copies of your current CV and photo to the audition.

·      Called back candidates may learn a movement combination; please bring comfortable clothes/shoes you can move in.

·      Potential call-back will be conducted in the afternoon of the audition day; bring suitable attire and shoes.

Contract Notes:

·      To be contracted, the performer must be at least 18 years of age.

·      The performer must be able, ready, and willing to relocate to Shanghai, China, for the duration of their contract.

·      Contracts could begin mid to late 2025 for an approximately 7-month period.

·      Must hold a passport valid until September 30, 2026 or beyond.

Character Look-Alikes

Shanghai Disney Resort is seeking performers with acting and movement abilities to portray Character Look-alikes from famous Disney films.   

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be a part of the Shanghai Disney Resort Cast and share the magic of Disney with millions! 

Seeking performers to portray leading roles from Disney, Marvel, and Pixar films 

Avengers, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Black Widow, Brave, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Cinderella, Doctor Strange, Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Little Mermaid, Moana, Pirates of the Caribbean, Princess and the Frog, Raya and the Last Dragon, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Tangled, Thor, and 101 Dalmatians.

Performers should demonstrate great presence and athleticism and have acting and movement experience. 

Imaginative improvisation techniques are a plus.

Look-alike performers may appear in stage shows, parades, meet and greets, and special events.
